Fixomotive Accounts uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure sensitive actions. We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share cookie data.
Cookies we set
- fx_session — keeps you signed in across Fixomotive products. It holds a signed reference to a session stored in our database (so we can revoke it on sign-out). It is HTTP-only, sent only over HTTPS in production, and lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out.
- fx_stepup — a short-lived (about 10 minutes) proof that you recently re-verified your identity before a sensitive action, such as changing your primary number, removing a contact, disconnecting an app, or processing a refund. It is HTTP-only and expires automatically.
Why consent isn't required
Both cookies are essential to provide a service you have asked for — signing in and securing your account. Under the DPDP Act and prevailing cookie-consent norms, strictly necessary cookies do not require prior opt-in consent. Because we set no optional cookies, you will see a brief notice rather than an accept/reject banner.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking these essential cookies will prevent you from signing in. We also store a small flag in your browser’s local storage to remember that you have seen the cookie notice — this is not a cookie and contains no personal data.
