Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 June 2026
This policy explains how Fixomotive Technologies(“Fixomotive”, “we”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use your Fixomotive account and our products, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”). We are the Data Fiduciary for your account data.
What we collect
- Identity & contact: your mobile number (the key to your account), and optionally your name, email address, country and language.
- Business profile (optional): workshop name and address, and GST details where you provide them for invoicing.
- Security & sign-in: sign-in sessions, device and browser information, IP address, and a log of security events (sign-ins, new-device alerts, two-step verification changes).
- Transactions: the plans, licences and subscriptions you buy, payment records and tax invoices.
How we use it
- to create and operate your account and sign you in to Fixomotive products;
- to deliver, renew and support the subscriptions and licences you purchase;
- to secure your account — detect abuse, verify sensitive actions and alert you to new devices;
- to issue tax invoices and meet our financial and legal obligations; and
- to send you essential service messages (one-time passcodes, receipts, expiry reminders).
Legal basis
We process your data to provide the service you ask for, to comply with legal obligations (such as tax record-keeping), and on the basis of the consent you give when you create your account. You can withdraw consent by closing your account, subject to records we must retain by law.
Sharing
We share data only as needed to run the service: with the Fixomotive product you sign in to (via single sign-on, limited to what that product needs), with payment and communication providers that process transactions and deliver messages on our behalf, and where required by law. We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you close your account we anonymize or delete your personal details and contacts; financial and tax records are retained for the period required by law and then disposed of. Sign-in and security logs are kept for a limited period for fraud prevention and audit.
Your rights
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you can:
- Access & export the data we hold about you — download a copy from Data & privacy in your account settings;
- Correct your profile details from your profile;
- Erase your account and personal data by closing your account (subject to records we must legally retain);
- Grieve — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (below); and
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, by contacting our Grievance Officer.
Security
We protect your data with measures appropriate to its sensitivity — encrypted secrets at rest, signed and database-backed sessions you can revoke, optional two-step verification, and rate-limiting on the sign-in front door. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to notify you of incidents that affect you.
Grievance Officer / Data Protection Officer
In accordance with the DPDP Act, you may contact our Grievance Officer to exercise your rights or raise a complaint about how your personal data is handled. We aim to acknowledge and respond within the timelines required by law.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, we will ask you to review them.
